Today's the day!

The Football World Cup kicks off in Germany this evening!

This is the first World Cup that I have the opportunity, luxury and possibly time to watch in the entirity. And I have been looking forward to this for a while now. The countdown stops today as Germany, hosting the tournament, plays Costa Rica for the opening match of the tournament.

I am, of course, waiting for tomorrow's match. England plays Paraguay in the first Group B match. Wayne Rooney has been cleared to play and will hopefully be fit for the elimination rounds. I hope the wait for him is worth it.

I am, as I said a long time ago, putting my money and my mouth on England to win this year's world cup.
