The Greatest Game Ever Played...

That's the name of the book by Mark Frost that I have just finished reading. It's about my favourite game: Golf!

The story is about the 1913 US Open Golf, about Harry Vardon who is definately one of the greatest players the game has ever seen, about a budding amatuer named Francis Oiumet & about the fight for the title between Harry, Francis & Ted Ray.

The story is gripping & is the best Golf book I have read (and I have read quite a few). A must read for all golfers (and also for people who don't play the game, but enjoy it).

You can find more details on it at
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0786869208/102-4557400-8854554?v=glance

I hear that a movie is also in the making based on the book. I just read about it at
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388980/

If the book is anything to go by, I think it will be a great movie! But then, most movies I have seen fall terribly short of the greatness of the book (as you might have inferred from my ramble, I am more of a book person than a movie person).

As the PGA tagline says, "These guys are good!"

Bhelcome!

Bhelcome to my Bakwas site!

For the uninitiated (mostly people not aware of Indian Slang), "Bakwas" means Junk / Stuff / Meaningless crap! This is my dribble from a boring time, droll comments which just pop up into my head, maybe some brilliant (I doubt it) idea that I have!

So thank you for coming here & do come back if you are interested in the ramblings of a bored, Indian slang spewing, slightly crazy, 30-something year old.
