Becks magic saves the day

David Beckham curled a trademark free kick into the back of the Ecuadorian net to give England a single goal victory tonight.

After a fairly disasterous game, with England coach tinkering with the formation to leave Rooney out alone in front, the game looked like it was going away from England and heading towards penalties.

But Becks stepped up to place all of us, his fans, hold him so highly. And with pin point, as if laser guided accuracy, he curled the ball over the Ecuador defense and beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

The score line remained where it was and England are now through to the quarters.

Hopefully, we will play better against Portugal.
